I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but we'll give it a shot anyways.
What was the name of the very first known predator hunting club in the U.S.? If you get that one who was 2nd? and who was 3rd?

I believe that was the Texas Wildlife Callers and then came the Arizona Varmint Callers Association and shortly thereafter was the California group.

I'll take that in vintage coyote calls please. HA HA I have a good friend who I met last year that used to be, some time ago a past president of the Colorado Varminters Club, he was a good friend of Sam Dudley amongst many others such as the Major. He still has his membership card, patch and several trophies from the organization. Of course he has lots of great stories, vintage items, and paperwork and pictures. I have been able to acquire a few of the calls and some paperwork for my collection but he still has a Poudre Piper call and bottle that he won in a card game with the Major.

I find that interesting, I never knew they had a club in Colorado. Do you know if anyone has any patches, hats, tee shirts, paperwork or anything else I could add to the predator hunting museum that would relate to that club? I'll pay for it. So far in the museum I have things from these clubs. The Phoenix Varmint Callers, Arizona Varmint Callers, California Varmint Callers, California State Varmint Callers, New Mexico Predator Callers, High Desert Predator Callers, So Cal Varmint Callers and the Gem State Predator Hunters Asso ( Idaho ). Pins, patches, trophys, hats, tee shirts, all the old e-callers, old club paper work, lots of new and old pictures etc and about 120 hand calls. All of this and more is on display for anyone to see for free. All they have to do is put up with all my old BS stories lol.

Danny, Send me your e-mail and I will send you a few photos. I took a picture of my buddies patch and made some copies of their club news called "The Squeaker". I have one of the original club cards also called the Larimer County Varmint Callers Club.

I have grown up in Larimer county and never heard of the group. I've been around hunting since the mid 70's

I realize that this post has been inactive for quite some time, but I felt compelled to add still... I too grew up in Larimer County (Fort Collins to be exact). In fact, my father was a member of the Larimer County Varimint Callers Club and, as a kid, I frequently attended meetings with him. I believe meetings were held at the old REA building on South College Ave. in Fort Collins (which was torn down and is now Spradley Barr Ford). Meetings were later moved to the basement of the 1st National Bank building downtown Fort Collins. My father still has his t-shirt from the club, here are a couple photos of its back:
