IMO all breeds are good for cat, coon, and bear. I'm partial to blueticks myself, no real reason just had the best luck so far. I'm not really a huge walker fan but there are a lot of good ones out there. Coyote I'd go with either walkers or curs for the speed issue, but I'm not a yote hunter with hounds so I'm not real sure what the best is. I've never hunted fox so I have no clue at all. If your gonna go for hogs I'd use plotts since they are so gritty. I'm not color blind by any means, I'll try any brees as long as it works. There are exceptional and duds in every breed no matter what you are doing with them. heck if they would do the job I'd run poodles as long as they would put game in the tree.

you opened up a whole lot of talking with that question! all breeds are different as well as dogs themselves, hunt with as many different dogs and breeds as possible and you may find the breed you like and the next guy will think different then you.

Jesse,
Your gonna laugh at this one. Here in Pennsylvania they don't allow us to hunt anything but small game and birds with dogs, so dogs weren't on the top of my mind when I first read your post. Now believe me when I say this, I'm not poking fun, but when I read "Which Bread", I'm sitting here thinking sandwich.  Grin I hit wrong keys all the time so I can see me doing that, matter of fact I just took a "k" out of the word small a few sentences back. This one sure made me laugh at myself!

Im a bluetick guy myself but for bear and probably hogs i would go with plotts. They tend to be grittier dogs. For running coyotes you want a running breed like a running walker. Treehounds just dont have the speed and endurance to keep up with a coyote.
