The Iowa DNR has announced that the state will have a short bobcat season this fall (Oct. - Nov) where specially licensed trappers wil be alowed to harvest 150 total bobcats in about 25% of the states' counties. This is quite a departure from a DNR that has, in the past, denied the existence of bobcats within the states' borders. A question for you trappers... Do you think they arrived at the 150 total cats number by doing research and determining that the bobcat population wouldn't be significantly harmed if the quota was met? And what percentage of the total population would you guess that 150 number would be? I am hoping this is a prelude to an official firearm season in the next few years.

..I aim to please, but I shoot to kill.. Support your states' "castle doctrine" If your state does not have one, vote for those who would support one.
