"Cronk Killer Call"
« on: January 12, 2007, 02:56:31 PM »

I just got my Cronk Killer Call. Today I took it on my trap line and tried it out. I am very happy with the way it sounds and it has great volume. Although I only tried it once today, nothing came in but I know it is a winner. If you are an open reed caller , I highly recommend this call. Very easy to blow and lots of sounds can be produced.  It is somewhat like the Tally Ho , but much easier to blow and much louder. A good one to have when the wind is blowing. Thanks Rich. You got a good one! You guys, give it a try. You won't be sorry.  Smiley

I agree with Jerry Hunsley about the Killer Call.  I especially like to use it as a howler with a small megaphone, and it is a real killer on the high pitched sounds out near the end of the reed. Easy to blow with plenty of volume.  Any call you get from Rich Cronk will be a winner. I keep the Killer Call and the Sceery AP-6  with me all the time, teamed up with the Cronk Buffalo Horn Howler.  The AP-6 also works great as a howler with a small megaphone.

Here is a photo of the first Cronk killer call that was molded from space age plastics. I have the parts coming for 25 more of these.

Rich, is the piece with your name on it a cover for the tone board?

YoteCoaxer,
Yes, that is the reed protector. For transport, it fits together like this.

Rich, I am totally happy with Loren. He does an excellent job. I think he will be getting more work form me. I like the colors he has been adding to the calls. They are pretty unique.

Here is a photo of the latest "molded" model of my killer calls. I still have to assemble the parts, cut the reeds and tune each one before shipment. They are a little bit less money than the hand made models.

See these calls, and other Cronk calls on my website at www.cronkpredatorcalls.com
